Asset Tracing & Recovery
Recovery of Lost Funds
If you have lost money to fraud, an investment scam, a misdirected transfer or a party that simply will not pay, we help you understand your legal options and pursue them methodically. You get an honest assessment from the start.
Overview
What this involves
Losing money is stressful, and it is often made worse by not knowing whether anything can be done. Funds may have been taken through an investment scam or other fraud, sent to the wrong account by mistake, withheld in breach of a contract, or owed under a court judgment that has never been paid. In each case, the law offers tools that may help.
Our role is to look at your situation candidly, identify the legal routes that are realistically open to you, and pursue them on your behalf. That can range from a carefully drafted demand letter to urgent court applications to stop assets being moved, civil claims against those responsible, and enforcement of judgments across borders.
Recovery is never certain. Outcomes depend on the facts of each matter: how quickly action is taken, where the money went, and whether the people responsible, or their assets, can be identified and reached. We will tell you plainly what we think before you decide whether to engage us.
How We Help
How we can help
- An honest case assessment. We review your documents, payment records and communications and give you a candid view of your options, likely costs and risks before any engagement.
- Demand letters. Formal written demands to the recipient, counterparty or debtor setting out your claim and the legal consequences of not paying.
- Asset tracing. Following the flow of funds and identifying assets through lawful means, including court-ordered disclosure where available, working with investigators and forensic accountants where the matter justifies it.
- Freezing orders and injunctions. Where the circumstances justify it, applying to the court for urgent orders to stop funds or assets from being moved or dissipated while your claim proceeds.
- Working with banks and payment providers. Prompt notifications, recall requests and information requests to the banks and payment services involved, and pursuing court orders against them where appropriate.
- Liaising with law enforcement. Helping you report fraud to the appropriate authorities and coordinating civil action with any criminal investigation.
- Civil litigation. Bringing claims against those responsible, for example for fraud, breach of contract or unjust enrichment, in court or in arbitration.
- Cross-border enforcement of judgments. Pursuing unpaid judgments and arbitral awards, including recognition and enforcement in other countries, working with local counsel where needed.
- Losses involving digital assets. Pursuing lawful legal avenues such as tracing analysis, claims against identifiable parties, and requests or court orders directed at exchanges or service providers where funds can be located. We cannot “hack,” reverse or undo blockchain transactions, and no legitimate firm can.

Honest assessment
We explain the legal routes available, the likely costs, timing and risks, and whether we believe action is worthwhile, before you commit.
Preserve and trace
Where justified, we act quickly to preserve evidence, trace funds and seek court orders to stop assets being moved.
Pursue the claim
Demand, negotiation, litigation or arbitration, depending on what best fits the facts and your objectives.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Can you guarantee that I will get my money back?
No. No honest lawyer can guarantee recovery. What we can do is assess your situation candidly, explain the realistic options and pursue them diligently if you decide to proceed.
Can you reverse a cryptocurrency transaction?
No. Blockchain transactions cannot be “hacked” or reversed by a law firm. Legal options may still exist, for example claims against identifiable parties or court orders directed at exchanges where funds can be located, and we will tell you honestly whether they are realistic in your case.
How quickly should I act?
As soon as possible. Money can be moved quickly, and legal time limits may apply to your claim. Contact your bank immediately, keep all records and communications, and speak to a lawyer promptly.
How are fees handled?
We explain our fees in writing before any engagement, and we never ask for payment in cryptocurrency or gift cards. [Describe the fee arrangements the firm offers.]
